Narrandera is a town located in the Riverina region of southern New South Wales, Australia. The town lies on the junction of the Newell and Sturt highways, adjacent to the Murrumbidgee River, and it is considered the gateway to the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area.
There's plenty of things to see and do in and around Narrandera, and below is just a selection of some of the great activities to explore whilst you're in the region.

Water Tower Art
This Narrandera landmark stands 30 metres high on the north bank of the Murrumbidgee River. The artwork was completed by four artists and took 11 days to complete the mural.

Visitor Centre
A place to start you Murrumbidgee River and Riverina wanderings. You can get advice from friendly locals, information on Narrandera and surrounding region all from the staff at the visitor centre.

Memorial Gardens
Victoria Square Memorial Gardens in Narrandera is positioned in the centre of town and features a ceramic Royal Doulton Fountain which was presented to the people.

Lake Talbot
Ideal for boating, canoeing and water skiing, this artificial lake is located only 1.5 kilometres from the town centre, which is perfect for boating, canoeing, water skiing etc.

Koala Reserve
The whole family will love to see hundreds of these iconic Australian animals in the wild. This is an ideal environment for them and Murrumbidgee River offers a cooler location on hotter days.

Sandhills Artefacts
See how local artist Michael takes raw wood and turns it into traditional Didgeridoos, Boomerangs, Coolamons and more by soaking them in water, debarking, hollowing, sanding, carving, polishing and painting.
